Bear Island

Bear Island is an uninhabited speck of land, the southernmost island of the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard in the Arctic Ocean. It took one and a half years of planning but Inge and his two brothers eventually made it, and search Bear Island for waves. They live in a tent, and carry all their stuff on sledges. Does the island have surfable waves? Will there be a polar bear nearby? How much fun can you have on a small island? The Wegge brothers are known for their playful living, and it shows.

A film of their extraordinary experience – of hauling their kit across the snowy wastes, camping on snow-dusted beaches and wading into icy waters – will be out next year.
